After gigging around Austin for about six or seven years, Safeword broke up sometime in 2014. It was never official, things just ended. Jon had recently gotten married, Alon had a couple other bands and Camron was suffering a mental breakdown after his most recent breakup (where else do you think these songs came from?).

In 2020, during the pandemic, Camron was cleaning up an old hard drive and found these songs. Some of them we had intended to release for an upcoming album: 'Best Fish', 'Amarillo By Morning' and 'Game of Pricks'. We had started recording a fourth song 'Launchpad,' but it appears to have been lost. 'Spectator Sport' was also to go on that album, but this recording is just a live practice. 'Scary Guy' ,'Dyslexic Driver,' and 'After Today' were also live recordings which were most likely done sometime in 2009.
